October 17, 2009 - 20th Anniversary of the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake
Santa Cruz County CERTs will be marking the 20th anniversary with a drill in Aptos. Many other events are scheduled throughout the area.

The course consists of 3 full days of classes covering topics on preparedness, light search and rescue, fire, triage and more. The class is free and taught by firefighters from Loma Prieta Fire and Rescue. There is no requirement that you join the team. Training individuals and families to be better prepared to care for themselves after a disaster is also important to us.
